The town is a Unesco heritage site known for the magnificent medieval architecture and cute piazza’s and an incredible architecture as well as delicious local produce. The Basilica of San Francesco that was built inteh 13th century is incredible and has some beautiful frescoes inside. Only an hours drive from Assisi are the magnificent Marmore Falls. The waterfalls, which are immersed in a natural scenery of incomparable beauty, were man made by the Romans. There are also caves, lakes and guided trails that make the visit interesting and enjoyable and a great place to organize a picnic or a traditional Umbria lunch in a local restaurant.
Another spectacular area of Umbria is the “Mole di Narni” that was the inspiration for the Chronicles of Narnia by TS Lewis, and this magical place is a great stopover when travelling from Assisi to Rome. There is a cycle track near here so we can organize a great team building activity for your guests to allow them to enjoy the nature and vegetation of this area, while burning the calories from the delicious Umbrian food.
