Cinque Terre

The Cinque Terre are located in Liguria and have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. They are certainly one of the most picturesque places in all of Italy, with layer upon layer of rainbow colored houses perched on the hills.

The easiest and fastest way to move between Cinque Terre villages is by train. Cinque Terre trains connect six stops: La Spezia which is the capital of the area and the “official” villages of Cinque Terre Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso, and the city of Levanto.

The territory is located within Cinque Terre National Park. Here you can take mountain bike trails or go horseback riding through the pine forests.

A swim and a break to enjoy a  cone of delicious italian gelato on the most beautiful beaches (in Monterosso there is the largest one) or go shopping in the small shops of the villages.
